A day to explore reflective practice and evaluation through creative experiences outdoors and learn how to apply them with your own groups. Music: birdsong, Messaien, minimalism, jazz, music concrete, Kate Bush, Art Ensemble of Chicago.
Participatory performance: DIY & activist culture, folk culture, early outdoor and site-specific performance in the UK and EU. Social African film. Balinese performance arts. Performance as social function and ritual. The late Scott Kelman's mindful improvisation methods. Joan Littlewood's contribution with Ewan McColl to political theatre, radio drama /sonic art and the legacy of the 'workshop'.
