A day to explore reflective practice and evaluation through creative experiences outdoors and learn how to apply them with your own groups. Where are you?
Bristol, Gloucestershire
What kind of work do you do?
Ecological artist, educator and writer.

Specialist in outdoor arts, play and learning, including training adults in play, improvisation and participatory place based projects.

Developing the feral art form.
Art that made me think about things:
Anything with integrity?

My influences include:
Visual: Land Art (Long, Goldsworthy) and conceptual art.

Music: birdsong, Messaien, minimalism, jazz, music concrete, Kate Bush, Art Ensemble of Chicago.

Participatory performance: DIY & activist culture, folk culture, early outdoor and site-specific performance in the UK and EU. Social African film. Balinese performance arts. Performance as social function and ritual. The late Scott Kelman's mindful improvisation methods. Joan Littlewood's contribution with Ewan McColl to political theatre, radio drama /sonic art and the legacy of the 'workshop'.

Literature: Jay Griffiths' non-fiction. Feminist eco-dystopia a la Atwood, Piercy, GIlman etc also Orwell, Macarthy... Loved 'Edgelands'.
